About Dietmar Herzog.

Born in the mountainuous heart of Austria, Dietmar Herzog had to move to Berlin, Germany at the age of eight where he gained his first experience with photography. After a break of some years he resumed his interest in the subject of photography 5 years ago, motivated by the new possibilities of digital photography. He has been concentrating upon photography of landscapes and recently also architecture and street photography. For him, as an eager hiker, it is a wonderful possibility to combine artistic creativity with movement in nature. His primary locations are Scotland, Norway and the mountains of South Tyrol. Today he still has amateur status and works as a software engineer in Munich. 2011 was his first year participating in photographic competitions and it was a quite successful one beeing awarded winner of Landscape Category at Scottish Nature Photographer Award and 2nd place at prestigious ‘Take a View’ contest.
