About Fred Mortagne:
Fred Mortagne is a skateboard video and photographer. He shoots most of his photography on analogue. His style is mostly based on the search for esthetics, rather than action and performance. He attaches a great importance of showing the skateboarders in their environment. Fred’s compositions are very graphical, with architecture often playing an important role, as much as the skatebaord action itself. Fred won the first Redbull Illume competition in 2007, placing 3 photos in the 50 finalists pictures. Fred is also an activist for swedish clothing brand WESC.

Insanely awesome photography by Kristopher Grunert.
There are two roads to becoming a finalist. Half are chosen by a panel of judges and the other half are chosen by being the most loved through votes. Be a part of the selecting process and vote for your favorites at The Open.
